The paleo diet, also known as the caveman diet because, if a caveman didn’t eat it, neither can you. This diet consist of food that can be hunted and fished (such as meat and seafood) or gathered (such as eggs, nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices). Paleo does promote the consumption of fresh ingredients over salty, processed meats. That means wheat or any cereal, dairy products, refined sugar, potatoes as well as anything processed or with added salt  are strictly off the menu. In general this diet is more of low-carb, high-protein diet, with some variations on carbohydrate and meat intake.  Paleo diet has many other health benefits as this can improve your blood pressure, insulin resistance, cholesterol levels, diabetes, heart disease, cancer and other health problems.

The Alkaline diet

Alkaline Diet aims to replace acid-forming foods in your diet with alkaline foods that can help you improve your health. This is because modern diet produces too much acid. As excess acid in the body is turned into fat, leading to weight gain. The diet Focusses on cutting back acid-producing foods such as meat, wheat and other grains, refined sugar, dairy products, caffeine, alcohol and processed foods in favour of “alkaline foods”, which will help in reducing the acidity level in body. The diet contains plenty of good healthy eating advice, such avoiding sugar, alcohol and processed foods, and eating more fruit and vegetables, nuts, seeds and legumes.
